Dubious Gossip Claims Kelly Clarkson Apparently Clashing With Carrie Underwood In Rumored Renewed Feud - Suggest

Are Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood feuding? One tabloid claims the former American Idol winners actually can’t stand each other. Let’s dive into the rumors of bad blood between the beloved musicians.

Carrie Underwood And Kelly Clarkson Revive Old ‘Rivalry’?

This week, the National Enquirer reports Kelly Clarkson poked a sleeping bear with her latest release. According to the article, Clarkson’s recent EP of covers, Kellyoke, couldn’t have had worse timing, since it was dropped just a day before Carrie Underwood’s own album, Denim & Rhinestones. And sources spill that this ordeal has just awakened an old rivalry between the two most successful American Idol winners.

RELATED: Dubious Gossip Says Kelly Clarkson’s Friends Apparently Begging Her To Move On From Divorce

“They may say there’s been no feud between them, but anyone who knows them will tell you, they’re not friends, nor will they ever be,” an insider dishes. “The bottom line is, Carrie and Kelly don’t like each other much, and the constant comparisons drive them both crazy. The only similarity between them is they won their seasons of American Idol. And they’re very competitive because of it.”

And sources reveal another point of friction between the two stars. Apparently, Underwood has refused to appear on Clarkson’s talk show, and it’s always rubbed the host the wrong way. “Kelly wanted to show everyone they could be friends, and it seemed like Carrie turned up her nose at the offer,” the tipster confides. “Kelly’s never forgotten it. She thinks Carrie’s stuck up. Anyone waiting for Carrie to turn up on Kelly’s talk show is going to have to wait a little longer, and possibly until hell freezes over!”

Kelly Clarkson Incites Fury With Latest Release?

Nice try, but we aren’t buying it. First of all, we already debunked this painfully unoriginal story about Clarkson’s new EP when Star published it, so we aren’t going to be fooled this time around. But, nevertheless, let’s get into why we find this tale so unlikely. First of all, the artists’ respective releases weren’t exactly feud-worthy. Clarkson’s Kellyoke was an EP, not a full-length album, and it didn’t even contain any original songs.

On the project, she covered mostly pop artists like Billie Eilish and The Weeknd, but managed to sneak on some Radiohead and Linda Ronstadt. The fun EP was a big hit with fans of Clarkson’s Kellyoke segment on her talk show, but it wasn’t exactly competing like a full-length, original Kelly Clarkson album would have.

But Underwood’s release, on the other hand, was her big return to secular country music, having spent the last few years making sacred records. It is ridiculous to suggest it could be the least bit overshadowed by Clarkson’s EP.

Carrie Underwood Refuses To Play Nice?

But what really caught our attention in this article was the claim that Underwood would never be on Clarkson’s talk show. Now, either the magazine has no problem publishing blatant lies, or it really was so lax on its research efforts that it missed this crucial piece of information: Carrie Underwood has been on Kelly Clarkson’s show.

In December of 2020, Underwood appeared on Clarkson’s show via video call—as all interviewees had to do at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic—to promote her holiday album. And, unsurprisingly it was a huge treat for fans of both of the singers. The two got along like a house on fire, and they even reminisced a bit about their time on American Idol.

It’s obvious that this tabloid never intended to provide a shred of accurate reporting when it ran with this story.

More Feuds For Kelly Clarkson

This is far from the first time the National Enquirer has invented a feud for Kelly Clarkson. Last year, the outlet reported Clarkson was feuding with Blake Shelton. Then the magazine claimed Clarkson’s recent divorce had driven a wedge between her and Reba McEntire. And most recently, the publication alleged Ellen DeGeneres was begging people to boycott Clarkson’s show. The Enquirer is the last outlet we’d trust anywhere Kelly Clarkson is concerned.

Gossip: Tuchel ‘bewitched’ as Chelsea target £119m Inter trio; Newcastle in Werner ‘talks’ - Yahoo Eurosport UK

Dumfries Skriniar Inter Credit: PA Images
Dumfries Skriniar Inter Credit: PA Images

Thomas Tuchel has been ‘bewitched’ into adding a 19-year-old to Chelsea’s Inter targets while Timo Werner pushes for the exit…

CHELSEA INTER RAID
Chelsea won a couple of games against Udinese over the weekend to ease worries that they’re set for a relegation battle this season.

A 4-0 defeat to Arsenal had Tuchel claiming they’re not ready to be competitive in the Premier League, in a see through bid to ensure owner Todd Boehly pushed for more signings.

And more incomings are indeed on the cards. Chelsea definitely need a new centre-back, and probably a full-back or two, depending on the futures of Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso, both of whom have been linked with that lovely football club Barcelona.

The Blues could raid Inter Milan for a duo they’ve been linked with for a while – Milan Skriniar and Denzel Dumfries – as well as a talented youngster, whom they’ve already reportedly made one bid for.

Chelsea are said to have offered around £6m for central midfielder Cesare Casadei this week after Tuchel was ‘bewitched’ by the 19-year-old, but Gazzetta dello Sport claim they will need to up that bid to £17m, which Chelsea may consider, though they’re not willing to include the buyback clause the Serie A side are after. Casadei is yet to make a senior appearance for the Nerazzurri.

Meanwhile, L’Equipe claims Paris Saint-Germain are said to be ready to walk away from talks over a move for Skriniar with Inter standing firm in their £68m valuation, opening the door for Chelsea, and the Italian club are also willing to part with Dumfries should Chelsea meet their £34m asking price.

TIMO TALKS
“I don’t know about it,” Tuchel said when asked about Timo Werner’s possible departure this summer. “In this moment I think he wants to make his way at Chelsea. He has still to prove a point.”

The point being that he can hit a barn door with a banjo presumably. Werner joined Chelsea for £47m in the summer of 2020 and has failed to reach anywhere near the heights of his previous season with RB Leipzig, which saw him score 34 goals in all competitions.

He made his frustration clear while on preseason tour, claiming he could be “happy everywhere” before Tuchel said he simply needed to “show quality” to play more often for Chelsea.

But it appears the Germany international is looking for an escape route and Bild claim he’s ready to take a 50 per cent pay cut to force through a loan return to Leipzig.

Former strike partner Yussuf Poulsen has done his best to fuel the transfer fire. “I hope he is coming back, he is a good player,” said the Danish international. “We are a team that is trying to take the next step and develop into one of the biggest clubs in Europe, you need quality players for that. We formed a good partnership in the past.”

But the Bundesliga side look set to face competition from Newcastle, who could be an option for Werner as, according to the Mirror, in what sounds suspiciously like a throwaway comment with no basis in reality, the 26-year-old is ‘desperate to be a success in the Premier League’. Anyway, the Magpies are reportedly ‘in talks’ with Chelsea over the move.

The Tapas Media Webtoon Gossip From Last Night - Bleeding Cool News

Yesterday, Bleeding Cool scooped the news that the major webtoon publisher Tapas Media, has informed its employees of a number of imminent layoffs in editorial at the publisher including Michele Wells, former Executive Editor and co-EIC of DC Comics. Last night saw a number of employees and ex-employees, usually working together remotely, meet up for in-person drinks. Here's some of what I've been hearing. I am sure there is more to come.

WHat's Going On With Tapas?

Last year, Korean online giant Kakao Entertainment signed agreements to acquire Tapas Media, valued at $510 million. to expand its original content business in English-speaking regions.

The gossip is that Tapas CEO Chang Kim, now being elevated to a higher position at Kakoa, seemed to believe that the deal would give him as much autonomy as he continued running the company as before. But dealing with Kakoa's demands put foul to that, even as he held meetings in which he would insist he was in charge. He would prefer algorithmic number-crunching solutions to creating new content, where Michele Wells had a track record of bringing in something new and unpredictable from the outside, with successful creators in other media. This established a major difference in approach between the two.

Gossip also concernedstock options being issued to staff last year at what were seen as reasonable prices, only for Chang Kim and new CCO Won Choi to come back stating that Kakao said it was too cheap, raising the stock option price to what Kakoa had paid for Tapas, over 150% more than the original quoted price. There were also questions regarding the nature of the buyout, as Tapas didn't seem to have a bigger budget to pursue desired creative pursuits. Some staffers last year report feeling that their own salaries were being portrayed as causing harm to the company, while being denied funds to do the job that would justify said salaries. With Won Choi now in charge, the financial management of the company will be the only voice. Tapas will probably be fine as an IP filter for Korean publishers into the US and English-speaking market, but its days as an original content provider may be numbered.

Royal Gossip Says Queen Elizabeth Supposedly Told Meghan Markle She’s Had Enough Of Her - Suggest

Has Queen Elizabeth reached her limit with Meghan Markle? One tabloid claims the monarch is “fed up” with the duchess. Let’s take a closer look at the report.

Queen Has ‘Had Enough Of Meghan’s Games’?

This week’s edition of Woman’s Day reports Prince Harry looked sullen and even suffered an “emotional outburst” on a recent trip to New York City with his wife. And according to the article, Queen Elizabeth was behind the duke’s fragile state. Apparently, Her Majesty gave Harry a stern talking-to after the release of Tom Bower’s book, Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors.

RELATED: Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s Marriage Will ‘End In Tears,’ According To Recent Bombshell Biography

According to the royal tell-all, the queen has suffered endless torment because of Meghan Markle’s actions. Bower explained how Markle butted heads with the queen on everything from her handling of her estranged father to her relationship with the media. The author even quotes the queen as saying, “Thank goodness Meghan is not coming,” in the days leading up to Prince Philip’s funeral.

“But even with all this and more going on, the queen instructed her staff to maintain a dignified silence. She still felt protective over Meghan and Harry knew if all this got out, Meghan would be savaged. But now, it’s come out anyway, and Her Majesty is having to deal with yet more mess from the Sussexes,” an insider spills. “She’s made it clear to Harry and Meghan that this is of their own making, and if they push forward with plans to spill more family secrets, it will get worse.”

Queen Elizabeth Finally Had Enough?

There are a few reasons we find this story absolutely ridiculous. First of all, we can’t find a single image of Harry during his New York trip that looked concerning in the slightest. The entire basis for this story is incredibly misleading since there’s no evidence to suggest Harry was the least bit shaken by anything, let alone a lecture from his grandmother.

Furthermore, this is far from the first royal tell-all about the rift between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family. Back in 2020, there was Robert Lacey’s Battle of Brothers. Then Christopher Andersen published Brothers and Wives, accusing Prince Charles of making comments about Archie’s skin color. And just a few months ago, Tina Brown shocked readers with The Palace Papers, insisting Markle makes Harry cry with her controlling behavior.

Each of these publications contained shocking allegations about what transpired between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family before they left behind their royal duties. And the tabloids ate it up every single time. But as far as the royals and serious journalists were concerned, these books were no more than a synthesis of royal gossip—no more credible than the average tabloid story.

So, nothing has “come out” about the Sussexes, as the tabloid’s source put it. The couple isn’t floundering to save their reputation. And the queen certainly isn’t scolding them for a random author’s dubious claims. Overall, this was the magazine’s attempt to capitalize on the latest royal tell-all. But, unsurprisingly, it didn’t have any meaningful input to share.

More Royal Rubbish From The Rag

We aren’t ready to buy Tom Bower’s every word about the Sussexes, and we have our hang-ups about Woman’s Day as well. Earlier this year, the magazine claimed Queen Elizabeth was moving in with Prince William and Kate Middleton. Then the outlet reported that the queen was forcing Harry and William to reunite. The tabloid even alleged that the queen made Middleton and Camilla Parker Bowles promise to let Harry rejoin the royal family once they take power. So, we have our reasons to doubt this story aside from the dubious nature of the royal tell-all.

Dubious Gossip Says Kelly Clarkson’s Friends Apparently Begging Her To Move On From Divorce - Suggest

Is Kelly Clarkson stuck in a rut? According to one tabloid, the “Stronger” singer’s friends are urging her to get back out there. Here’s the latest gossip about Clarkson’s high-profile divorce.

Kelly Clarkson ‘Can’t Let Go Of Divorce’?

This week, the Globe reports Kelly Clarkson is having a hard time moving on from her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. Clarkson and Blackstock’s marriage went up in smoke in 2020, leading to a grueling divorce battle that was only finalized this time last year. But now that most of her ducks are in a row now, sources say her friends want her to stop obsessing over the past.

RELATED: Drew Barrymore’s Ex-Husband Goes Private On Instagram After Sharing Photos Of Their Daughters

“They just want her to get on with her life, count her blessings, and shut up,” an insider charges. “All she’s doing is whining and moaning how her ex, Brandon, is giving her grief, how tired she is, how lonely.” But it’s not all complaints. Apparently, her friends are also “encouraging her to take more vacations, flirt with guys, anything to give her confidence a boost, because they’re tired of the same old broken record.”

Friends Begging Her To ‘Shut Up’ About Divorce?

This report is absolutely abhorrent. Just from the sheer insensitivity of this insider, we know without a doubt that they are no friend of Kelly Clarkson’s. Friends are supposed to be supportive—and even if they are a bit annoyed, they don’t go complaining to the tabloids. Clarkson went through a brutal divorce, and she only rarely comments about it publicly. So, we’re having a hard time believing that’s the only thing she talks about in her private circles.

Furthermore, Clarkson isn’t letting the divorce drag her down. Her career has been busier than ever, and she recently announced that she wants to release more original music. She isn’t a one-dimensional cartoon character whose only personality trait is complaining. Not to mention, she has always maintained that her number one priority will always be her children.

“We’re both from divorced families so we know the best thing here is to protect our children and their little hearts,” Clarkson said back in 2020. Given how gracefully Clarkson has handled such a difficult period of her life, the outlet’s cruel story about her alleged incessant complaining is just uncalled for.

More Kelly Clarkson Divorce Gossip

Of course, the Globe has never handled this topic with much sensitivity at all. Earlier this year, the outlet reported Clarkson was raging at Blackstock for storing his things in her house. Then the magazine claimed Clarkson was near breakdown due to her legal battles and grueling work schedule. And more recently, the publication alleged she was stuck in a custody nightmare after Blackstock was allegedly seeking a bigger payout. Clearly, the Globe can’t be trusted anywhere Clarkson is concerned.

GOSSIP ALERT! Television actors suffer a massive loss while working with big banners as they get exploited in the name of the show by not receiving the right paychecks, not being given justified screenspace and more - Tellychakkar

MUMBAI : TellyChakkar is back with yet another update from the telly world.

Also read: Gossip: Producer suffered massive loss because of THIS actress!

Craving some hot and spicy gossip from the Television world? Well, here we are with just that. Our entertainment industry is infamous for its ‘dark secrets’ and living life in the blinds. Many renowned personalities hire and put forth their best PR activities to show the best side of them and we as the viewers, admirers, or fans, however, we want to perceive it, go in awe of how they maintain themselves, live a healthy life and abide by the phrase ‘early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise’.

However, there are some deeper secrets which we are sure pinche their conscience too.

Today our Khabri, under the honey’s hat which has an eye on everything (yes EVERYTHING!) brings to you the hottest gossip of Telly town.

Most celebrities gain massive popularity with their show despite being the parallel leads of the show but the prominence that they were promised starts blurring out after some while. They often sign the contracts for the joy of getting a strong role under a good banner but the truth isn't the same. At first, the actors are promised adequate screen time, and more working days and asked to sign that they cannot work with other productions or channels while their project is on.

Soon the makers shift their focus from these parallel or negative leads and completely focus on the two flag bearers of the show. The screen space starts decreasing and their call time days also start getting lesser with every month due to which survival in a city like Mumbai becomes difficult as they have to be on their own.

There are many such examples of actors who left the show from Midway, well this is the major reason for their exit. What is your take on this?

The Role of Small Town Gossip in Domestic Suspense - CrimeReads

For better or worse, I’ve lived in small towns nearly all my life. Taking the old “write what you know” to heart, I set my domestic suspense novel, The Perfect Neighborhood, in a leafy suburb that closely resembles the town where I grew up as well as the community where I currently live.

One thing you’re all but guaranteed to find in these quaint hamlets is gossip. From back decks to church basements, loose lips are as commonplace as sidewalks and schoolyards.

Sometimes the chatter is lighthearted. (Think: Did you hear Bob was twerking at the neighborhood block party?) But on other occasions talk can be more malicious and even downright slanderous. (As in: Meg told me Bob was fired for embezzlement.)

Traditionally, the word “gossip” has a negative connotation, calling to mind scandalmongers and tattletales. But scientists who study evolution believe that our preoccupation with the lives of others dates back to prehistoric times and was actually critical to the social success of our predecessors.

If you think about it, it makes sense. Our ancestors lived in small clusters. Sharing information like where to find resources and who in your village was a trusted ally—and more importantly, who wasn’t—helped them survive and thrive.

“Thus, it appears that we are hardwired to be fascinated by gossip,” a study conducted by Knox College concluded.

Not surprisingly, gossip plays an important role in the literary world as well. From Arthur Miller’s The Crucible to Agatha Christie’s The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, hearsay and idle talk are responsible for both sparking and solving crimes.

When I began writing The Perfect Neighborhood, I knew I wanted to incorporate characters who weren’t afraid to spill the beans about their fellow residents. But more than just a spicy ingredient, gossip performs many functions in domestic suspense novels.

Here are ways gossip works for the writer and the reader:

  1. It establishes setting and sets the tone.

Just a few pages into Liane Moriarty’s Big Little Lies, readers get a feel for the privileged world they’re entering thanks to the swell of voices belonging to the parents of Pirriwee Public. There’s been a murder at a swanky school fundraiser and moms and dads alike aren’t afraid to begin pointing their fingers and sharing their theories. It’s clear to readers that they’re being invited into a community where secrets aren’t safe for long.

Much like in real life, gossip in novels beckons you to lean in and listen up. You may find yourself turning pages quickly, feeling like you’re part of the inner circle within this fictional world.

I also began my novel with a chorus of characters’ voices weighing in on the middle-of-the-night departure of actress Allison Langley, who left behind their affluent Oak Hill neighborhood as well as her handsome husband. When kindergartner Billy Barnes goes missing on his walk home from school weeks later, residents admonish themselves for focusing on the Langleys’ marriage rather than keeping a closer eye on their community. But as days pass without a lead, the gossip quickly resumes as neighbors speculate about the predator in their own backyard. I wanted readers to know early on that Oak Hill might have plenty of curb appeal, but what’s going on behind closed doors is anything but perfect.

  1. It provides backstory in a compelling way.

We’ve all read novels that contain an information dump—that off-putting wall of prose that tells us everything the author thinks we should know about a character or situation. This can kill the pacing and turn off readers who’d rather glean information in a more organic fashion. Having two or more characters gossip about another provides an interesting, more natural way to reveal those details.

In Adam White’s The Midcoast, the narrator, Andrew, moves back to his hometown and becomes intrigued by his former boss’s rapid accumulation of wealth, which seems particularly surprising given that he’s a lobsterman. Equally curious is the fact that this rather boorish character, Ed Thatch, has married the girl of his dreams. How did it all come about? Rather than bombard the reader with backstory, White creates a compelling conversation between Andrew and an old classmate, who reveals a salacious story about Ed’s wife, Steph, which establishes her character and offers a bit of foreshadowing. As Andrew becomes increasingly interested in the Thatches’ sudden ascent, so do readers.

  1. It keeps the reader guessing.

Whether it’s a carjacking or a kidnapping, when there’s a crime in a small town everyone plays detective. With that, rumors begin circulating. While gossip may be tantalizing, it’s often inaccurate. Like an adult game of telephone, details get distorted as they’re disseminated.

Camille Preaker, the protagonist in Gillian Flynn’s Sharp Objects, is a journalist who returns to her hometown to investigate the death of two local girls. While conducting research, Camille gathers information from locals and a detective—but can she trust it?

Much like an unreliable narrator, gossip can be used to misdirect the reader and cast suspicion on other characters. In my novel, I put Oak Hill’s anxious residents to work, speculating night and day about who may have abducted Billy Barnes and why. From the baseball coach to the pool cleaner, suspects abound. While readers may have a prime candidate in mind, hopefully, the gossip keeps them guessing until the last page.

  1. It illustrates the character of your characters.

While not quite the same as schadenfreude (taking delight in the misfortunes of others), gossip often says as much about the characters spreading it as it does about their subject.

In Sarah Langan’s Good Neighbors, unhappy college professor Rhea Schroeder (aka the Queen of Maple Street) begins a vicious smear campaign against her relatively new neighbors, the Wildes, creating a mob mentality that doesn’t end well for the residents of this Long Island suburb. Once admired and respected, Rhea’s true nature is revealed as the twisted tale unfolds.

Similarly, in my novel, neighbors express their concern for the Barnes family. But don’t be fooled, the ladies of Oak Hill aren’t as well-intentioned as they appear. They might deliver meals to Billy’s distraught parents, but they’re motivated by the opportunity to gather more intel to spread within the town.

  1. It pushes the plot in an unexpected direction.

You may think you have an ending all figured out, but once a character throws another under the bus by starting a rumor, the story may go off in a surprising direction.

In The Perfect Neighborhood, an attention-seeking teen turns to social media to share an exchange she had years earlier with a lonely crossing guard. Taking her story seriously, police begin investigating, sparking an ugly showdown.

***

In real life, gossip is hard to resist. It’s no different in fiction. As characters swap secrets, readers find themselves along for a juicy ride.

SDCC Gossip About Substack Comics - Nick Spencer No Longer On Staff - Bleeding Cool News

At San Diego Comic-Con, Bleeding Cool heard some gossip at the Westgate Hotel CBLDF/ComiXology event regarding the future of Substack Comics, set up by Nick Spencer last year with comic book publishing deals set up for major comic book creators. The word was that a) Nick Spencer had been fired from Substack comics and b) Substack Comics was being shuttered. From what we can gather, that's not true – but there is a nugget of truth that may have been blown up a bit.

Announced in June 2021, it was August 2021 last year that comics shifted as James Tynion IV. Scott Snyder, Jonathan Hickman, Mike Del Mundo and Mike Huddleston announced that Substack financial grants would see upcoming comic book and comic book-related projects release via Substack's email newsletter platform., followed by Molly Knox Ostertag, Saladin Ahmed, Chip Zdarsky, Sophie Campbell, ND Stevenson, Kelly Thompson, Scott Snyder, Jeff Lemire, Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman. The following January that saw Tom King & Elsa Charretier, Brian K Vaughan & Niko Henrichon, Khary Randolph & Joanne Starer, Rodney Barnes, Jen Bartel, and Grant Morrison join. Since then many projects have been launched and published with a dedicated Substack comics reading app.

SDCC Gossip About Substack Comics - Nick Spencer No Longer On Staff

So I looked into the latest gossip, and this is what I have been able to ascertain. Bleeding Cool understands that Nick Spencer no longer is a staff member at Substack, but is now fulfilling his previous role in a freelance capacity, transitioning to returning to writing, including an upcoming Substack Co mics project.

The Year One Substack Comics Pro deals are coming to an end, as was originally planned and the Substack Pro deals will switch from those large six-figure advance payments against subscription royalties, to no advances but with Substack taking 10% of subscription figures. This is how the deal was always promoted.

However, while Year Two creators (aside from Kelly Sue DeConnick and Matt Fraction) are soon to be named, I have been led to expect fewer numbers than before, and both the amount of deals – and size of the deals – has been significantly reduced. Substack, just like Netflix, Amazon and other streaming services, is going through a numbers crunch, in an increasingly divided competitive market that hasn't had a shakeout yet. Substack as a whole has suffered such, with layoffs and more, but I am told that the Comics side of Substack has weathered the storm better than most of the rest of the service.

There are some who saw Substack Comics as another example of the comics publisher that launched big with huge outlays but was heading for an inevitable bankruptcy – Tundra, Tekno/Big, Radical Publishing and Virgin Comics come to mind. Substack Comics, as it stands, does not appear to be following the same pattern. But even it was, it enabled a number if creators to a) make bank and b) gain some level of independence and ownership away from the Marvel and DC teat, as well as establish a greater connection with their fanbase.

There is also been reported discussion underway for a deal that gives subscribers a significant discount on multiple subscriptions from Substack Comics, so that readers can get a large discount for signing up to a "cable package" of such Substacks.

Show Gossip Says Joy Behar Apparently Wants Whoopi Goldberg Fired So She Can Take Over ‘The View’ - Suggest

Is Joy Behar trying to reclaim control of The View? One tabloid claims the veteran host wants Whoopi Goldberg gone. Here’s the latest gossip about the staple daytime show.

Joy Behar Wants Whoopi Goldberg To ‘Disappear’?

This week, the Globe reports Joy Behar has it out for her longtime co-host Whoopi Goldberg. Apparently, Behar wants to take over Goldberg’s moderator position by the end of the summer. “Joy’s been quietly campaigning for Whoopi’s removal,” an insider confides. “She’s said for months now Whoopi’s a liability and it’s in everyone’s interest if she gets greased so the rating can improve and they can bring in new talent.”

RELATED: Meghan McCain Blasts ‘Woke’ Prince Harry Over UN Speech

The magazine notes that Behar is the last remaining member of the original panel, and fans have been wondering when she’s planning to bid the show goodbye. But sources insist that her primary goal is to outlast Goldberg. “She says she still has plenty of fight left in her and she’ll be damned if Whoopi’s cranky, self-obsessed stupidity is going to see her walk away from the best gig she’s ever had,” the tipster attests.

Is Joy Behar Out To Get Whoopi Goldberg?

While the report droned on about how badly Joy Behar wants Whoopi Goldberg to get canned—even claiming she wants it done by the end of the summer—it never gave any indication of how she planned to do it. Badmouthing is nothing new at the tumultuous TV show, and surely Behar knows that won’t get to Goldberg. So, we ask one last time, how is Behar planning to push Goldberg out?

The truth is that she isn’t. In fact, Behar’s beef has never really been with Goldberg. They’ve shared the panel for the last 15 years, and they seem to have a fairly smooth dynamic. We’re sure Behar isn’t suddenly making it her mission to get Goldberg fired when, as the tabloid hints, these could very well be her last years at the show. Besides, one look at the tabloid’s past reporting shows a major tendency to exaggerate the drama over at The View.

More ‘View’ Drama From The Rag

This is far from the first story of its kind that we’ve busted from the Globe. Before Meghan McCain’s exit, the magazine claimed Goldberg was quitting because of the host’s controversial takes. Then the outlet reported Goldberg was close to collapse due to ongoing health issues. And more recently, the publication alleged Sarah Haines and Sunny Hostin were conspiring to get Behar fired. We’re certainly skeptical of anything the Globe says about the daytime show.

Industry Gossip Claims Anderson Cooper Apparently Being Pushed Out By New CNN Boss, Supposedly Warned About Behavior - Suggest

Anderson Cooper is the face of CNN, but for how much longer? Rumors marinate about him being forced out of the network. Is he really drinking too much and feuding with his boss? It’s hard to imagine the network willfully firing its most well-known anchor. Let’s review some stories and see if there’s anything to them.

Anderson Cooper And Don Lemon: Drinking On The Job

According to the National Enquirer, bosses at CNN were not happy with how Cooper and Don Lemon behaved on New Year’s Eve. The anchors got sloshed in front of the nation. A source said, “The network cannot afford to have its marquee talent look bad on the air.” Another tipster said, “Both Don and Anderson have been warned to clean up their acts or face the consequences!”

RELATED: Heartbreaking News For ‘Today’ Star Al Roker And Wife Deborah Roberts

The appeal of CNN’s New Year’s Eve show is getting to see folks like Lemon and Cooper cut loose on the air. They were doing their jobs exactly as the network wanted them to, so there was nothing to this story.

New Boss Has It Out

Per the Enquirer, new CNN CEO Chris Licht is no fan of Cooper or Lemon. While the previous honcho Jeff Zucker would text them regularly, Licht had no interest in being their friend. An insider explains, “Chris doesn’t want to be friends with them. He wants to be their boss—and they’re used to being treated like stars, not staff!”

Yup, you read that right: supposedly Lemon and Cooper were bitterly complaining because their boss didn’t text them enough. CNN is a professional organization, not a fraternity. This story’s very premise was preposterous. There’s no sign that Licht and Cooper have any beef whatsoever. His wife worked with Cooper for several years, so they may already be friends.

Cooper On The Chopping Block

Once again the Enquirer claimed Cooper was in crisis. Scandal-ridden CNN was looking for a neck to ax because morale had gotten so low. Apparently, Licht wanted to move away from op-eds and go with straight reporting. This made Cooper, a personality, expendable. A source said, “Anderson Cooper is a privileged white, middle-aged man who’s not going to find work at super-woke MSNBC, either.

It’s true that CNN ratings are tanking under Licht, but cutting its most famous anchor would be rather counterproductive. The reasoning, to get more woke, was even flimsier. If Licht wanted to clear house, Cooper would probably be the final person he’d want to fire because he would undeniably be an asset to his next employer. The Enquirer simply has no insight into the inner workings of CNN or Cooper would have been fired by now.

Gossip: Ronaldo ‘surprised’ by new Man Utd plan; Everton set to axe Dele Alli - Yahoo Singapore News

Manchester United have a cunning plan that’s taken Ronaldo by surprise while Dele Alli looks set for a new low…

RONALDO ‘SURPRISE’
Manchester United have come up with a cunning Cristiano Ronaldo plan. It’s become clear to them as it has to the rest of us for a while that Ronaldo is not going to play for a team not competing in the Champions League.

The striker still hasn’t returned to United training as his agent Jorge Mendes knocks on club doors to find him an option for next year. Atletico Madrid appear to be the most likely (only) suitor and The Times claim they have put Antoine Griezmann up for sale to pave the way for the 37-year-old’s arrival at the Wanda Metropolitano.

And Mirror clam United would be willing to allow Ronaldo to leave for Atletico this season, but only on loan, and only if the Portugal international agrees to extend his contract by a year so he can return to Old Trafford next year for a final swansong, hopefully in the Champions League.

It’s an offer that’s said to have ‘taken Mendes and Ronaldo by surprise’ and so far has ‘not been rejected’.

United’s preference is still for Ronaldo to stay this season, but it’s claimed there is now an acknowledgement that ‘it would be difficult and potentially disruptive to ten Hag’s plans to keep an unhappy Ronaldo’.

DELE AXE
Everton are ready to sell Dele Alli and absolutely no-one saw that coming.

The 26-year-old joined the Toffees from Tottenham in January and played just 11 games in six months at Goodison Park.

Dele arrived on an initial free transfer, with Everton set to pay Spurs significant money dependent on the number of games the midfielder played.

And The Sun claim Frank Lampard is ready to cut his losses before any of those potential add-ons kick in.

Dele is among several players Everton are trying to move on as the club tries to cut costs while giving Lampard a squad better equipped for the Premier League.

MARC LAUGHS
Brighton have strengthened their stance on Marc Cucurella and will not budge in their £50m valuation.

The Seagulls regarded Manchester City’s opening £30m bid for the left-back, made on Thursday, as ‘laughable’, according to The Athletic.

The club have dismissed claims in the media that Cucurella is unhappy or unsettled by their stance, with the 24-year-old said to be ‘his usual smiling and chirpy self in training’ on Friday.

Cucurella is just one year into a five-year contract following his £15m move from Getafe last summer and Brighton are said to believe it’s ‘highly unlikely’ City will meet their £50m demand.

SDCC Gossip Over Mark Millar Poaching Marvel & DC Artists For Nemesis - Bleeding Cool News

Mark Millar claimed in a recent newsletter that he had "just nicked Marvel's best artist". And also that "in the interest of fairness, we've stolen's DC's top guy too!!"

"In a Reservoir Dogs style smash and grab, Millarworld has snatched the two greatest artists in comics right now, but we're actually going to save the announcement until next month when we can show you exactly what they're drawing. One of them might involve Nemesis, by the way, and you're going to love it. More on this in July."

This suggests that creators who have exclusive deals with Marvel or DC have left  Image Comics/Netflix/Millarworld comic book deals. And in his latest newsletter, Mark Millar gave snippets, one for Nemesis Returns, and another for an unnamed book.

Gossip Behind Mark Millar Poaching Marvel & DC Artists For Nemesis?
SDCC Gossip Over Mark Millar Poaching Marvel & DC Artists For Nemesis

"Below you'll find the preview of next week's big Magic Order launch plus a couple of teasers for our August 2nd ads where we reveal the two big projects I'm doing with the shameless Marvel and DC steals we just made. "

Gossip Behind Mark Millar Poaching Marvel & DC Artists For Nemesis?
SDCC Gossip Over Mark Millar Poaching Marvel & DC Artists For Nemesis

But gossip at San Diego Comic-Con's late-night sessions in the Westgate, Mariott, Hyatt, Omni and Bayfront reveals that comic creators who know more of what is going on state that, rather than stealing the creators, Marvel and DC Comics have agreed to temporary carve-outs in exclusive deals for specific work-for-hire projects like Nemesis Returns, in a similar fashion that Dan Slott recently got after years of trying from Marvel for Doctor Who. And it's a sign of a slight ease of control of late at both Marvel and DC, to keep favoured creators happy. And to expect to see signs of this approach all over. Still, when has that ever stopped Mark Millar from claiming daylight robbery?

As for Nemesis, this is the first time we have seen such art for a long time. In 2009, Mark Millar and Steve McNiven published a Millarworld book through Marvel Comics called Nemesis about a super villain being hunted by cops. The series was then supposed to return in 2012 as Nemesis Returns or Nemesis 2. Then it was delayed until 2013. Then nothing.

Mark Millar Promises Return Of Nemesis, Maybe He Means It This Time
The Nemesis 2 that never was

We were told ten years ago, "In order to help facilitate the timeliness of the Nemesis Returns, Steve has teamed up with two exciting new talents and opened a new studio endeavour, Carbon Sun Studios" and that "Nemesis means a lot to me and I want it to be the best of my stuff out there," said McNiven. "I want it done right, and we'll make sure Nemesis gets his due."

The comic book saw the charismatic supervillain Nemesis target Chief Inspector Blake Morrow ostensibly over what Morrow did to his father. He hijacks Air Force One over the District of Columbia, and takes the United States president before crashing the plane into Washington D.C., killing hundreds – and then tens of thousands with poison gas, simply to taunt the conservative Morrow. He kidnaps Morrow's family, forcing them to reveal his wife had an affair, his son is gay and that his daughter had a secret abortion before artificially inseminating Morrow's daughter with his son's sperm, with her womb rigged to collapse if abortion was attempted. It was a different time. Or something. It's eventually revealed that the Nemesis identity is one owned by a company that arranges for rich people to become supervillains. And that a new one will arise.

The rights to make a Nemesis film were optioned by 20th Century Fox. Tony Scott was set to direct it before his death, in conjunction with his Scott Free production company. In 2010 Joe Carnahan was reportedly working on the screenplay for the film and was confirmed as the director two years later, also as a writer of the script with his brother Matthew Carnahan. However, the rights lapsed, and in 2015 Warner Bros. acquired them to adapt it. In May 2021, Millar stated that Emerald Fennell had written the latest draft of the screenplay. And now… more Nemesis ten years late? Hell, if Miracleman and Fables can do it, why not?
