Cheshire native Jay Lewis is no stranger to competing on NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior.” Competing on the obstacle course game show since 2018, the 18-year-old made his second finals appearance this month. But after successfully completing three stages of events, Lewis came up short to clinch the Season 14 finale.

In the Aug. 29 finale episode, Lewis competed against four other challengers in the “Stage 4 Climb,” in which competitors must climb up a 75-foot rope in 30 seconds or less. Before Lewis began his climb for the $1 million prize, commentators notes that he is the “smallest athlete [competing],” but had the “ideal strength-to-weight ratio” to successfully complete the challenge.

While Lewis finished the challenge in 37.19 seconds, 16-year-old Kaden Lebsack completed it in 36.77 seconds, securing the title of Last Ninja Standing for the second time along with the $100,000.

Spotlight Philly: Celebrity news, local gossip and stories about the city you love - Metro Philadelphia

Philadelphia has been buzzing with plenty of celebrity sightings as of late. First up, theater-goers downtown were thrilled to have a sighting of actor-director Angelina Jolie and daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt backstage at the Forrest Theater during the August run of “Dear Evan Hansen.”

And while director-producer M. Night Shyamalan’s cast and crew have finished shooting the fourth and final season of Apple TV’s ‘The Servant’ in-and-around the Fitler Square and Spruce Street area, they didn’t leave without a kind farewell. They offered area residents the opportunity to “grab dinner and dessert on us, at PaperMill Foods, The Munchy Machine and Mr. Softee” food trucks who hung along Fitler Square Park on S. 23rd. “Our sincerest thank you for hosting our production for the past four years” read the note from Night’s production team.

Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’ star Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) was spotted moving into the dorms at the University of Pennsylvania, where he will study business.

This month, Jose Garces is announcing still-secret dining-and-drinking spaces within the Comcast Center, a rejuvenated Garces Trading Company at the Cira Centre near 30th Street Station, and the second season of his Chefs-in-Residence diversity program at Volver starting with BBQ boss Big Rube. When it comes to Wells Fargo, another Philly-branded restauranteur is adding his moniker next to that of Garces and Starr: Chef-owner Marc Vetri whose baseball-themed MVP Pizza mixes Roman and Neapolitan pie stylings.

Lady Gaga’s “Chromatica Ball” stadium show at Hersheypark Stadium in upstate PA was the highest grossing show in the venue’s history, a record held previously by The Rolling Stones in 2005.

Singer-songwriter-turned-venue owner Laura Mann is preparing to open her third Living Room location in Ardmore in early November.

The three best rumors about this weekend’s Made in America? That Beyonce is stopping by her husband Jay-Z’s festival for a song. That one-time U of P student John Legend may pop up and do a brief showcase in anticipation of his Republic label debut, LEGEND, and that Hova’s one-time RocNation client, Philly’s Meek Mill – who just left Jay-Z’s managership – may return to rap and prove there are no hard feelings.

A local focus

Philly Fringe CEO Nick Stuccio is busy year-round curating the Old City performance space, Fringe Arts, and its Le Peg restaurant partnership. Come September, however, it’s the Philadelphia Fringe Festival — an all live performance art mania that runs Sept. 8 to Oct. 8.

So what has Stuccio been up to in order to release the stress necessary to run a nearly 18-hour-a-day month-long festival?

“We had a terrific summer vacation with the kids highlighted by a really fun canoe trip on the beautiful Upper Delaware River,” says Stuccio. “This summer, too, I’ve been way into 1970s Nigerian Afrobeat, I absolutely love this song, “Happy Survival,” by Eddie Okwedy, as I am always on a quest for great 70’s soul music.”

Stuccio adds, “There is a lot of change happening in family with our kids for the most part gone and also at Fringe with our awesome building in desperate need of improvements. But change means construction renovation, which I totally and completely love. Our house is about to look like an episode of This Old House, except I’ll be playing master carpenter Norm, very badly. My wife, Annie, and I are going to miss the kids but hello bigger bathroom. And we are in deep planning for a makeover at FringeArts — look for a cool, updated place in the near future.”

Trump's Gossip on Macron's Sex Life Can't Be That Good - New York Magazine

Trump (possibly) knows a good secret. Photo: Michael Kappeler/dpa/picture alliance via Getty Images

Many were let down by the release of the search warrant from the FBI’s raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence earlier this month, as the attached receipt of property contained only vague descriptions like “miscellaneous secret documents,” “confidential document,” and “handwritten note.” But one entry on the list did have that bonkers Trumpian je ne sais quoi. It read, “info re: President of France.”

We may ultimately learn the Mar-a-Lago raid was about something truly horrifying, like the former president selling off nuclear secrets or compromising the safety of intelligence sources. But those five little words gave gossip lovers a glimmer of hope: Perhaps the Emmanuel Macron document would spawn another entertaining yet harmless Trump kerfuffle, like that time he rudely called out the French president’s dandruff during a state visit to the U.S.

A Rolling Stone piece published Monday initially seemed to confirm these suspicions. The outlet reported that, for Trump, Macron has been “a subject of intense — and tawdry — interest for years.” It continued:

Specifically, Trump has bragged to some of his closest associates — both during and after his time in the White House — that he knew illicit details about the love life of French president Emmanuel Macron, two people with knowledge of the matter tell Rolling Stone. And the former president even claimed that he learned about some of this dirt through “intelligence” he had seen or been briefed on, these sources say.

Sacrebleu! This raid story just got spicier … or maybe not. Rolling Stone included this caveat: “It’s not clear whether the Macron-related document the FBI seized during the raid had anything at all to do with the French president’s personal life.” And while Trump has been known to talk about Macron’s “naughty” ways that not “very many people know,” the sources didn’t have anything more concrete — and even they doubted the former president really knew anything:

In his musing on Macron’s alleged indiscretions, Trump was light on details and specifics, according to the sources. And as a notorious gossip peddler for decades, it’s difficult to know if any of what he says is grounded in reality. “It is often,” one of the sources says, “hard to tell if he’s bullshitting or not” … In his conversations with his associates, Trump didn’t offer an explanation of how American spies acquired the supposed Macron dirt he claims to have seen.

To me, this confirms that the mysterious “info re:” Macron will be a big nothingburger. In the same piece, Rolling Stone noted that, during the 2016 campaign, Trump exposed Morning Joe hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough’s romance to some random, mid-level staffers, declaring, “You know, nobody else knows about it, but I know about Joe and Mika’s little apartment in the Upper East Side.” Trump built the larger-than-life reputation that ultimately landed him in the White House by leaking to the New York tabloids. In the mid-’80s, he even invented a fake persona so “John Barron” could dish to a reporter about how rich Trump was.

The French famously have very different ideas about sex than we uptight Americans do. Former French president François Mitterrand’s wife and his mistress stood side by side at his funeral, and Macron is married to his former high-school teacher. These “illicit details” about the French president’s love life would have to be pretty damn explosive to raise any eyebrows. I just don’t believe Trump could resist publicly blurting out gossip that good. But, Mr. Trump, feel free to prove me wrong!

The daily gossip: August 30, 2022 - The Week

Netflix invented quite a bit when it came to its Anna Sorokin series, one of the subjects claims. Rachel Williams, former friend of con artist Anna Sorokin, is suing Netflix for defamation for her depiction in Inventing Anna. In the lawsuit, she cites various scenes she alleges never happened and were made up to make her seem "greedy, snobbish, disloyal, dishonest, cowardly, manipulative and opportunistic." For instance, she points to the show suggesting she stopped being friends with Sorokin because she was having money problems, when in reality, it was because she discovered Sorokin "was a liar and a con artist." Her attorney also pointed to an interview where Katie Lowes, who played Williams, acknowledges differences between the character and the real person, and Williams says she wants to hold Netflix "accountable for its deliberate recklessness." We'll have to see if the streamer can prevail in court with the ironclad legal argument that, well, the show does have "inventing" in its title.

As gossip about Tom Brady’s 11-day absence continues, one peculiar explanation keeps cropping up - The Boston Globe

Rumors continue to swirl regarding Tom Brady’s 11-day absence from Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ training camp, but one fairly bizarre explanation has repeatedly surfaced. TB12 missed all that practice, the scuttlebutt goes, because he’s going to be on the Fox show “The Masked Singer.”

Last week, former New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman fueled the rumor during a Reddit AMA, or “Ask Me Anything,” Q&A.

“Would Tom tell you if he was on The Masked Singer?’ one person asked.

“Let me be perfectly clear. Tom Brady is on this season of the Masked Singer,” said Edelman, who was promoting his new podcast, “Games With Names.” The last portion was in bold, as if to underscore his certainty, and he added a squirrel emoji for good measure.

Then on Saturday, Brady made some puzzling remarks during a post-game press conference after his squad’s pre-season loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

“We all have really unique challenges to our life,” Brady said in response to a question about his recent absence from camp. Hair askew, he looked uncharacteristically worse for wear as he stood before the cameras.

“I’m 45 years old, man,” Brady continued. “There’s a lot of [expletive] going on. So, you’ve just got to try to figure out life the best you can. And, you know, it’s a continuous process.”

Brady’s agent didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on Monday. Last week, Brady batted away the gameshow talk, tweeting that he “[w]asn’t on the masked singer last week.”

Still, TMZ Sportsreported last week about a leaked clip of “Masked Singer” judge Ken Jeong guessing that Brady was the man behind the mask during a taping, saying at one point, “He just got fined for not showing up to training camp because he is here on ‘The Masked Singer.’ This is seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady!”

The clip ends before the identity of the contestant, donning an enormous bird mask, is revealed.

If Brady ends up appearing on “The Masked Singer,” he won’t be the first former Patriots star to grace the production’s sound stage.

Rob Gronkowski appeared on the show in 2020 sporting a white tiger mask as he belted out a stirring rendition of “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred, a Brit pop group whose hymn to carnality dominated the charts in the early 1990s.

After his taping, the former Patriots tight end wrote on Instagram: “What a time I had being on @maskedsingerfox. Thanks so much for having me on and helping to improve my one of a kind dance moves and sing my face off with my beautiful vocals! The White Tiger 🐯 walks up and just takes presence on that stage! Learned so much during my time on the show, thank you and huge shout out to all my new fans of my singing and performances!”

Luminaries from the rough-and-tumble world of politics have also competed on the show, including former NYC mayor and embattled Trump consigliere Rudy Giuliani, who appeared on the program last winter.

As you may recall, Brady, too, has previously made headlines for his singing, although it may not quite be on par with his gridiron prowess. Back in 2018 he posted videos of himself crooning along to U2 songs when the band performed in Boston.

“The rumors are true,” Brady captioned one video. “I’ll be joining @U2 on the remainder of the #u2eitour.”

The QB, known for his quirky social media presence, was merely being facetious at the time.

He does, however, have a golden parachute waiting for him from Fox, having reportedly inked a $375 million football commentary deal with the network that’ll kick in once he hangs up his cleats.

Salaries for top NFL broadcasters have skyrocketed over the past few years, but Brady’s reported deal is in a whole different stratosphere. Tony Romo, CBS’s top NFL analyst, set the bar when he signed a 10-year, $180 million deal to remain with the network in February 2021. Troy Aikman’s five-year deal with ESPN is for more than $90 million, a slightly higher average annual rate than what Romo makes.

Spokespersons for Fox, which broadcasts “The Masked Singer,” didn’t immediately return a request for comment Monday morning. The show returns Sept. 21.

Gossip Abounds About Amazon; TikTok Takes More Political Ad Dollars - AdExchanger

Comic: In-game advertising

Here’s today’s AdExchanger.com news round-up… Want it by email? Sign up here.

EA Or Nay?

EA Games is looking for a buyer, according to game news journal Puck. And the buyer will probably be a company with a streaming service.

After a (debunked) rumor saying Amazon intends to buy EA, its stock surged 15% in premarket trading when the rumor broke Friday morning.

The other top contenders for the gaming company are Disney, Apple and NBCUniversal, with the latter the most likely.

A video game blog claims Comcast CEO Brian Roberts wants to spin off NBCUniversal, which owns the streamer Peacock, and merge it with EA Games. But both companies declined to comment.

Still, Microsoft bought Activision, Netflix bought three game studios in only a year, and in-game advertising demand keeps growing. Clearly, streamers like the idea of slapping games into their content libraries to try and keep subscribers from leaving.

But EA Games’ new home – if it even moves – remains TBD for now.

The Court Of Public Opinion

Despite being a midterm election, political ad spend in the 2022 election cycle is already outpacing 2020.

From a cultural perspective, there’s always a “platform of the moment” during an election cycle, Digiday reports. And in 2024, TikTok is going to be what drives Gen Z voters to the polls, policy consultant Robb Henzie tells Digiday.

There’s one big problem: While TikTok is capturing the Gen Z zeitgeist, it’s a forbidden zone for political advertising. TikTok isn’t allowing creators to post any paid political content. TikTok already bans political advertising (though, apparently, it can be evaded).

During the last election cycle, in the midst of the pandemic, political spend on digital ticked upward, accounting for 19% of media electoral spending for 2020. And social platforms are only becoming a bigger piece of that chunk, though they’re also setting up higher guards. Meta, for example, is pausing political ads entirely to avoid the burden of filtering content

But politicizing social won’t be smooth sailing. TikTokers can post organic political content, but advertisers might have a harder time using organic messaging on the platform at the same scale (although not for lack of trying).

Friends Without Benefits

A $31 billion class-action antitrust lawsuit filed against Meta with the UK’s Competition Appeal Tribunal will proceed after Meta declined to challenge the choice of forum. A class-certification hearing has been set for January 2023, TechCrunch reports.

The suit, which was filed in January this year, claims Facebook has imposed unfair pricing and trading conditions on its users in the UK (and, assumedly, everywhere else) by requiring users to share personal data to access Facebook’s platform. The suit further charges Facebook with not sharing profits earned from trading on that data with its users.

However, it is unclear whether the suit will survive class certification. Privacy concerns are at the heart of the claim. A UK Supreme Court decision last November held that damages resulting from privacy breaches must be proved on an individual basis, not through class action, a win for Google.

This lawsuit is just the latest anticompetitive case against Meta based on its data-gathering practices. Meta is appealing a decision by the German Federal Cartel Office that banned the company from linking user data across its different owned and operated platforms.

How to Handle Office Gossip … When It's About You - HBR.org Daily

Gossip comes in different forms that serve different purposes. When it’s used as an indirect way of surfacing or engaging in interpersonal conflicts, it can incite workplace drama. So what should you do if you find out a colleague has been gossiping about you? First, let the messenger of the gossip know you’ll be discussing it with the gossiping colleague. You may lose access to some information. But if your example positively influences others, you may gain a healthier workplace. Second, when you confront the person gossiping, focus first on the content of their gossip, rather than their method. If there’s merit to the person’s concerns, you get the benefit of the feedback, and you also demonstrate both openness to feedback and a willingness to hold others accountable in a way that might encourage them to make a better choice the next time they have concerns. Finally, ask them for a commitment that, in the future, you will hear the complaint before others do — and promise them the same yourself.

Imagine a colleague of yours, “Beth,” approaches you one day and tells you that “Gareth,” a relatively new member of your team, made disparaging comments about you to her — referring to you as a “lightweight who wouldn’t be in the job if not for getting hired before the company could attract those with credentials.”

Beth reports this in hushed tones, then adds, “He can’t know where you heard it, okay?” What should you do next?

As I’ve written about before, gossip comes in different forms that serve different purposes:

  1. It can be a source of information for those who mistrust formal channels.
  2. It can serve as an emotional release for anger or frustration.
  3. It can be used as an indirect way of surfacing or engaging in interpersonal conflicts

It’s this latter form that incites a lot of workplace drama. This kind of gossip is communication minus responsibility. It is a collusive counterfeit to problem solving. In the example above, someone is telling you that you’ve been gossiped about — and they’re using gossip as the vehicle to do so. They’re passing along information on condition of anonymity.

The most crucial moment in addressing gossip like this is not after you hear it, but when you hear it. In an ideal world, Beth would have informed Gareth in the moment that she would need to share the information with you, unless he was willing to do so himself. But given that didn’t happen, you as the subject must decide whether you will continue the gossip or invite responsible communication.

When you tacitly or explicitly agree to engage in gossip so you can get access to gossip about you, you become part of the problem. You also prevent yourself from taking the only kind of action that could lead to resolution: a candid and respectful dialogue that produces mutual understanding. The way you handle this moment — the instant you’re issued an invitation to participate in gossip — becomes crucial. Here are three things to do when someone else is gossiping about you.

Don’t listen if you can’t act.

I adopted an ethic years ago that I always use to set a boundary with those who want to pass along information about another person. When I can see the conversation is headed in the direction of gossip, I politely stop the person and let them know that I’ll likely act on the information I’m given. This helps them understand that speaking implies responsibility and gives them an “out” to decide to keep the information to themselves.

In the situation above, Beth has already shared critical information. At this point, you could say, “Thanks for letting me know Gareth has concerns about me. I’ll be discussing that with him. I don’t feel a need to share your name, but he might guess you shared it.” If that makes her nervous, you should still hold your boundary. You might say, for example, “I’m going to address this with Gareth one way or another. If you want a day or so to let him know you shared it with me, you’re welcome to take that time.” If she chooses not to do so, you’re free to move forward.

Of course, the risk in this approach is that people will think twice before sharing gossip with you. You may lose access to some information. But if your example positively influences others, you may gain a healthier workplace.

Address the right issue first.

Next is the conversation with Gareth. A gossip episode like this involves two conversations: one about process and one about content.

Most people’s first instinct is to address the process problem — i.e., the fact that Gareth is talking negatively behind your back. You assume the content of the gossip in meritless and move to immediately confront what bothers you most: the inappropriate way he’s peddling his “fabrications.” A better way to proceed is to focus first on the content issue — Gareth’s apparent concerns about your competence — and not the “talking behind my back” issue.

Be humble. Don’t frame the conversation (even implicitly) as “Shame on you for talking behind my back,” but rather as “If I have failed you in some way, I really want to understand it. Or if my skills are coming up short, I need that feedback.” This approach helps in a number of ways. First, if there is merit to the person’s concerns, you get the benefit of the feedback. Second, you transcend tit-for-tat reactions in a way that might prevent this from escalating into future personal conflict. And third, you demonstrate both openness to feedback and a willingness to hold others accountable in a way that might encourage them to make a better choice the next time they have concerns.

Don’t be deterred if the person starts by claiming misunderstanding or minimizing their statements. Reiterate your desire for feedback and urge them to be forthcoming about any concerns.

Discuss the process problem.

Only after you’ve explored the other person’s concerns can you productively hold them accountable for the indirect way their feedback came to you. Ask for a commitment that, in the future, you will hear the complaint before others do — and promise them the same yourself. If you’ve humbly solicited feedback in the previous step, you’ll have the moral authority and safety needed to hold them accountable for their bad behavior.

There is no guarantee that approaching gossip in this way will eliminate it. But it does guarantee that you become part of the solution instead of perpetuating the problem.

Olivia Wilde Says Gossip Helps 'Numb' People From The World - The Blast

Olivia Wilde won’t say too much about her relationship with Harry Styles because of celebrity gossip.

However, the actress briefly touched on her romance with the former One Direction signer in a new interview with Variety.

“We both go out of our way to protect our relationship,” Wilde said. “I think it’s out of experience, but also just out of deep love.”

The couple met on the set of their upcoming film, “Don’t Worry Darling,” in which Wilde directs and stars. Styles also stars in the film opposite his on-screen wife, Florence Pugh.

In her cover story for Variety, Wilde explained why she’s so hush-hush about her romantic life.

Wilde Believes Celeb Gossip Is A Good Distraction & Numbing Tool

“I’ve never seen a relationship benefit from being dragged into the public arena,” she said. “The whole culture of celebrity gossip is interesting as a distraction tool to numb people from the greater pains of the world.”

Wilde continued to say, “Escapism is really a very human quality, searching for something to anesthetize the painful reality of so many people’s lives. I don’t blame people for seeking escapism, but I think the tabloid media is a tool to pit women against one another and to shame them.”

It’s interesting the timing of this statement given there have been rumors of a feud between Wilde and Pugh.

MEGA

The alleged feud and animosity between Pugh and Wilde started when the director and musician struck up a relationship during filming.

The psychological thriller set in the 1950s stars Pugh as Alice, who suspects that all is not as it seems in the glamorous paradise where she lives with her husband, Jack, played by Styles.

Pugh has praised her co-star and on-screen lover, but she’s kept mum about Wilde.

She said he was “a total professional and it was a great experience working together.”

In the same interview, Wilde dragged her previous relationship with Jason Sudeikis.

Olivia Admits There’s A Reason She Left Her Relationship With Sudeikis

Back in April, Wilde took the stage at the event to promote her new movie, which just so happens to star her boyfriend, Harry Styles.

Wilde stars in and directs the film.

According to Sudeikis, his split from Wilde was unexpected and very hard. He hit “rock bottom” following the breakup.

They share two children together, a son named Otis and a daughter named Daisy.

The “Horrible Bosses” actor and Wilde were together for seven years before breaking up in November 2020.

By January 2021, Wilde was making headlines for a new relationship with Styles.

“It was my workplace,” Wilde explained to the publication. “In any other workplace, it would be seen as an attack. It was really upsetting. It shouldn’t have been able to happen. There was a huge breach in security, which is really scary.”

Wilde believes there was some forethought put into the “attack,” which directly contradicts Sudeikis’ claims he had “no knowledge” his ex would be served custody papers at CinemaCon.

A source revealed to The Hollywood Reporter, “Mr. Sudeikis had no prior knowledge of the time or place that the envelope would have been delivered, as this would solely be up to the process service company involved, and he would never condone her being served in such an inappropriate manner.”

Wilde is calling BS!

“The hurdles that you had to jump through to get into that room with several badges, plus special COVID tests that had to be taken days in advance, which gave you wristbands that were necessary to gain access to the event — this was something that required forethought,” the actress admitted. “I hated that this nastiness distracted from the work of so many different people and the studio that I was up there representing. To try to sabotage that was really vicious. But I had a job to do; I’m not easily distracted. But, you know, sadly, it was not something that was entirely surprising to me. I mean, there’s a reason I left that relationship.”

Beware Of Petty Gossip While Mars Is In Gemini - Refinery29

The planet of action, ambition and desire moved to a new spot in the sky on 20th August, where it'll usher us into 2023. Mars usually stays in each zodiac sign for around two months, but because the planet will retrograde on 30th October, it'll be in the extroverted and clever sign of Gemini all the way until 25th March, 2023. This rambunctious, tell-me-what-you're-really-thinking energy is here for the long haul.
Narayana Montúfar, senior astrologer for Astrology.com and author of Moon Signs: Unlock Your Inner Luminary Power, calls this transit one of the most crucial to pay attention to as we head into the rest of 2022. (No pressure, though.) "Mars is the planet of drive, ambition, anger, and sexual hunger; it is the planet that gets us out of bed every morning and gives us energy," she says. "In Gemini, Mars expresses itself through the intellect, as well as spoken and written words. Under this planet-sign combination, the mind becomes incredibly active and hungry for stimulation, and our words have incredible power." This energy can be both positive and negative — words can be weaponised, but they can also be wielded for good. Just be sure to choose your battles wisely.
We'll feel a pull to speak our minds, and psychic astrologer Leslie Hale says that "our communication with others will be on fire for the next seven months and be our greatest asset as well as our biggest problem if we are not aware of the pitfalls." But, again, it's not all negativity. "With some understanding of how the sign works, it can be a time of excitement, bright ideas, and an invigorating if not fun period of time," Hale says. "Witty and clever ideas will attract you at this time, as will eclectic people and places. You will be more interested in making contacts and connections, and trying new ways of approaching things, even new and different people." The theme of this transit is freedom — with your words and ideas, of course, but also with how you'll want to feel.
Mark your calendars for 16th September, when Venus in Virgo forms a tense square with Mars in Gemini. "We may be forced to confront our values and who or what we pursue," says astrologer Stephanie Campos. "Do they align? Are our relationships rooted in reality and are they helping us cultivate the life of our dreams? Or are they holding us back in some way?" Take this day to reflect on everything you're working towards, whether it's in life, love, work, or even money. Is your hard work worth it? Or is it just making your time here on Earth all the more difficult?
Mars will begin its retrograde in Gemini on 30th October and end on 12th January, 2023, causing things to get a bit bumpy. "Hidden anger that’s been building up within will come to the surface and result in a harsh tongue lashing," says Lisa Stardust, astrologer and author of The Love Deck. "The results can lead to major issues and arguments that won’t be easy to repair. Therefore, it’s best to think before asserting yourself during this transit and keep a journal of what you wish you could say — then evaluate your findings to decide on the right way to let your feelings be known."
Iva Naskova, astrologer at the Nebula app, agrees, saying that it's especially important to pay attention to our communication around this time, as there could be misinterpreted messages and mixed signals. "Also, the temptation to gossip about other people tends to increase during this time, and as we all know, spreading fake pieces of information about people can end up hurting yours or someone else's feelings," she says. While harmless gossip is a way we often connect with others (and entertain ourselves, let's face it), there does come a point where it can be malicious, and this retrograde will only amplify the repercussions of it. Be respectful, be open-minded, and be aware of the weight your words carry.
There are three planets Mars will be connecting with while it is in Gemini, according to Montúfar: Venus in Virgo, Jupiter in Aries, and Neptune in Pisces. "The connection with Jupiter in Aries is positive and occurs while Mars is still direct on 1st September, and will instigate us to grow and expand with confidence and ambition," Montúfar says. Then, when Mars in Gemini clashes with Venus in Virgo on 16th September, "it will bring relationship drama and put our relationships under the microscope," while "the square with Neptune will be quite confusing and will occur as Mars stations retrograde" on 30th October. Intimidating, yes, but something we can't get through? Of course not.
Although we have a long journey with this astrological transit ahead, it's nothing we haven't survived before. Our actions will be driven by our ideas and information, so be sure to harness your creative energy and stimulate your mind — you never know what you'll end up creating.

Royal Gossip Claims Prince William Supposedly Battling Kate Middleton Over George’s Boarding School - Suggest

Are Kate Middleton and Prince William fighting over Prince George‘s education? According to one tabloid, the couple is at odds over sending him to boarding school. Let’s take a closer look at the report.

William And Kate In ‘Royal Showdown’?

This week, In Touch reports Kate Middleton and Prince William are in a disagreement about whether or not they’ll send Prince George off to boarding school. Boarding school is a royal tradition, and George is now well past the age William was when he was sent off. But sources say there’s another option on the horizon, and Middleton doesn’t think boarding will be necessary. Apparently, the duke and duchess have been paying visits to Lambrook School, a hybrid boarding and commuting school.

RELATED: Kate Middleton, Prince William Had Sweet Message For Little Girl Who Invited Prince George To Her Birthday

“They’re moving to Windsor soon, and it looks like they’re planning to send all three of their kids there, starting in September,” an insider spills. “While Kate wants George to commute to school every day, William wants him to board there… But Kate can’t imagine shipping George off. He’s only 9!”

Sources spill that William has been looking into the boarding options at Lambrook behind Middleton’s back. When she found out about her husband’s scheme, it apparently turned into a full-blown fight. “Now they’re at war over what to do,” the tipster confesses. “They’ve been arguing about this for months, and things are only going to get more heated as the start date for school approaches.”

Prince William And Kate Middleton ‘At War’?

Let’s dive into this dubious story. First of all, it has been speculated that the Cambridge children are destined for Lambrook School. People have claimed they’ve seen William and Middleton on school grounds, and given its proximity to the palace and its co-ed curriculum, it seems like a totally possible option for the royal couple.

But that’s where the reasonable speculation ends and the blatant lying begins. If Middleton and William really were at odds over whether or not to board their children, we wouldn’t know a thing about it. The couple is private on the most mundane of matters, so sensitive subjects like their children’s living arrangements surely aren’t going to be leaked to random tabloids.

We have no reason to believe the couple is “at war” over this matter. Especially considering George’s age—one year older than William was when he went off to boarding school—we have to assume that this isn’t the first time William and Middleton have talked about that facet of George’s education. If William was truly determined for George to follow in his footsteps and attend boarding school, he probably would have already been pushing for this.

The Tabloid On Prince William And Kate Middleton

Besides, we have a hard time trusting In Touch anywhere the Cambridges are concerned. Back in February, the outlet reported Middleton had a “showdown” with her former friend Rose Hanbury over her rumored affair with William. Then the magazine claimed Middleton banned Meghan Markle from attending Prince Philip’s funeral. And most recently, the publication alleged Middleton banned Markle from sitting with the royal family at the queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Clearly, In Touch doesn’t have the inside scoop on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Industry Gossip Claimed Gwen Stefani Supposedly Got Chased Out Of Nashville By Country Stars Last Year - Suggest

Is Gwen Stefani allowed to enter Nashville? Twelve months ago, one outlet announced she’d been blackballed by country stars because of her relationship with Blake Shelton. Let’s look back on that story and see if it was true after all.

‘Gwen: Backstabbed By Country Stars’

According to Star, Stefani was not welcome in Music City, U.S.A. She and Shelton had just released the hit duet “Nobody But You,” and the country world supposedly felt she cut the line to the top of the genre. An insider explained, “There’s a big disappointment that she rode into the South and took what she wanted and went back to Hollywood. The world of country can be highly tetchy. You can’t just waltz in and out when you choose!”

RELATED: Carrie Underwood Then And Now: See How She’s Transformed Since American Idol

First off, great use of the word “tetchy” there Star. Well done. Anyway, this was a transparent hit piece bashing Stefani simply for existing outside of California. The story itself said that “no one admits it on record,” so everything from the anonymous country stars couldn’t be reliable. In a world where genre matters increasingly less, where Pink and Justin Bieber have released country songs in recent years and “Old Town Road” dominated the airwaves, we couldn’t believe this story for a minute.

Was Gwen Stefani Blackballed?

It was pretty unclear what point Star was trying to make less year other than broadly calling Stefani a carpetbagger. No country star has spoken out against her in the last 365 days, so we were right to be suspicious. She and Shelton have been enjoying their first year of marriage, and it all appears idyllic still.

While she’s only released pop music this year, Stefani did perform at the Country Summer Music Festival. She serenaded Shelton with “Happy Birthday.” You’ll be able to see plenty of Shelton and Stefani together when The Voice returns on September 19.

Repeatedly Misses The Mark

Star is probably the last place you should go to learn about Shelton and Stefani. It claimed Shelton and Stefani got married back in 2018. That was years early. We also busted its story about Stefani getting pregnant with twins. If she’d been carrying twins, you would’ve noticed it.

This story preyed on the odd couple factor involved in Stefani’s marriage. Just because she makes pop music and Shelton makes country music doesn’t mean they can’t marry or make music together. If they don’t mind at all, then why should anyone?

DC Comics Responsible for Mandela Effect, and More Dark Crisis Gossip - Bleeding Cool News

Dark Crisis has now been revealed as the Dark Crisis On Infinite Earths, a sequel to the original Crisis On Infinite Earths from DC Comics. But it is also the return of The Great Darkness, the ancient vacuum of existence which threatened everything at the same time in the Swamp Thing comics way back when, And while reality is being rewritten in Dark Crisis, it is also being written another way in Flashpoint Beyond. Here are a few bullet points on how it may all come out in the wash. Spoilers on, obviously.

DC Comics Responsible for Mandela Effect, and More Dark Crisis Gossip

  • The Great Darkness wants nothing. It just is. But it may be being manipulated.
  • The Great Darkness invades the Multiverse from without, but also invades from within, via Deathstroke. It's a battle on two fronts.
  • The Justice League are at the centre of every Crisis, which is why they have been taken off the table.
  • Each must accept their world or be forced to. But even those that rebel just play into Pariah's hands. Trying to save the Justice League only speeds up Pariah's Machine.
  • The true Black Adam will show no mercy. Though may have his hands full over Deathstroke's Dark Army Vs Lex Luthor's The Legion Of Doom.
  • When Alexander Luthor manipulated the Multiverse during the Infinite Crisis, the Post-Zero Hour future appeared as alternate Earth-247. And now it's back. Talking of whom…
Dark Crisis Gossip
Swamp Thing #46 by Alan Moore. Steve Bissette & John Totleben.
  • There are two Swamp Things. But one remembers a previous Crisis crossover. Time to read your old Alan Moore/Steve Bissette/Rick Veitch/John Totleben Swamp Things, especially the Crisis bits. Probably before Dark Crisis #4 and The Deadly Green #1.
  • The Omniverse may contains the Multiverse, the Metaverse, the Sphere Of The Gods and the Dark Multiverse. But the idea of the Omniverse is false and was almost destroyed by the Great Darkness.
  • The War Of The Legions is coming. Will The Legion Of Four Worlds be involved?
  • The various DC Comics Crises are responsible for the Mandela Effect, in which people are convinced the world used to be different to what it is now, exposed by tiny differences.
  • The Great Darkness binds its subjects in chains. You know Superman has the trademark on breaking chains, right?
  • There is something wrong with magic. But that may have to wait for the next event. A magical crisis?
  • Spoiler warning inside a spoiler warning. Flashpoint Beyond will tell you the end of Dark Crisis, and of the return of the thought-dead Justice League. Just so you know.
  • Ted Talks are named after Ted Kord now. And are called Kord Talks. Told you things are changing…

The Gossip Rags Are Trying to Manufacture a Feud Between Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb - Pajiba Entertainment News

GettyImages-1051890978.jpg
GettyImages-1051890978.jpg

I am no expert on Today Show drama, but the gossip rags have been pushing a “feud” between Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb for several months now. Their evidence has apparently been in their on-camera “body language” (and a cooking segment where Guthrie reportedly “snapped” at Kotb) and “cryptic” Instagram messages. The online speculation is that Guthrie wanted Willie Geist to occupy the role taken by Kotb, that Guthrie is controlling, and that she’s a “serious” news person, while Kotb gets wine drunk on early morning TV.

To me, it sounds like the gossip sites are trying to make something out of nothing. To wit: Hello Magazine pushing this headline with a photo of Guthrie looking angrily at Kotb: Today’s Savannah Guthrie was ‘mad’ at her co-star Hoda Kotb after the star didn’t listen to her in a tongue-in-cheek interview. The actual story, however, is about how Guthrie was playfully “mad” at Kotb for sharing a song that Guthrie sang to several of her friends because Kotb liked it so much.

Does this look like two people feuding? Honestly.

Now rumors of the feud have been elevated from the Sun to The NY Post, where Page Six is reporting that Guthrie intentionally overslept to pull a power move.

But multiple TV insiders think Savannah Guthrie, 50, deliberately overslept to show NBC News “who is the real boss.”

The move comes amid reports of a feud between Guthrie and her co-anchor, Hoda Kotb, 58, who is on vacation this week. One “Today” insider said, “This would never happen. She is literally the $40 million dollar woman.

“She is showing them who is the boss and that they can’t do the show without her,” said the insider. “When Savannah doesn’t show up for work the entire force of NBC News is dispatched to find out where she is.”

Meanwhile, on Instagram, Guthrie admitted to oversleeping, but she still made it in on time to appear on-air when the show kicked off at 7 a.m. Not much of a power move, is it?

The Today show denied rumors that Guthrie overslept on purpose. “Everything in this story is demonstrably false. Savannah overslept, plain and simple. She was coming in to work from upstate New York this morning. She keeps her phone on ‘Do Not Disturb’ overnight, aside from a small group of people who can reach her. Her driver tried to call her, but he is not in the group who could reach her, so she didn’t wake up. When the show producer called her, she woke up and rushed in.”

On the other hand, if you want to talk about body language, check out Justin Sylvester’s body language here, when Jenna Bush Hager gets handsy with him.
