Celebrities offer mixed reaction to Trump's coronavirus diagnosis | TheHill - The Hill

The 74-year-old president said he and his wife would begin their "quarantine and recovery process immediately," tweeting, "We will get through this TOGETHER!"

While some of Trump's most outspoken Hollywood critics remained mum on social media following the president's diagnosis, others offered sober sentiments.

"Knives Out" actress Jamie Lee Curtis advised Trump's political opponents that it was no time to gloat:

Former "Charmed" star Alyssa Milano, a frequent Trump critic who said she was hospitalized earlier this year for complications due to COVID-19, offered sympathy:

"Frozen" actor Josh Gad said while he hoped for Trump's recovery, he holds "extreme resentment" toward the president's handling of the virus, which has killed more than 207,000 people in the United States, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. 

Rosie O'Donnell and Ice-T suggested that it was only a matter of time before Trump, whose campaign has held large indoor and outdoor rallies during the pandemic, tested positive:

Pro-Trump performers James Woods and Antonio Sabato Jr. gave their own encouraging words:

Other high-profile personalities expressed hope of a silver lining: that Trump's diagnosis would lead to greater awareness about wearing masks to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
