How 20 Celebrities Are Staying Fit In Quarantine - Parade

blogsjga.blogspot.com

For our 2020 Healthy Now survey, Parade teamed up with Cleveland Clinic to find out how people are adapting their daily routines to fit the #NewNormal created by the COVID-19 pandemic. Check out the results of our survey.

When COVID-19 struck, many gyms and boutique fitness studies across the nation were forced to close their doors. But this hasn’t kept celebs from keeping up their physiques, and they’re not the only ones: According to Parade and the Cleveland Clinic’s Healthy Now 2020 Survey, many people are prioritizing getting physically active right now.

81% of those surveyed are taking steps to improve their immune system, doing things like staying hydrated (57%), taking supplements (47%), eating more fruits and vegetables (44%) and exercising more (38%). During quarantine, more than 1/3 of surveyed 18-34-year-olds have increased their exercise frequency, with many participating in activities like waking, working out outdoors, making fitness a family endeavor, relying on yoga or stretching, or streaming workouts. And of those that have increased their fitness, as many as 99% said they plan to keep up with activities in a post-pandemic world.

Long story short: Our quarantine exercise routines aren’t too shabby. But if you need some inspiration, here’s how 20 celebrities are staying fit right now.

How Celebs Stay Fit at Home

Kate Bosworth has been using what she calls a “funny workout ball” to keep herself tight and toned. Back in March, she posted a video of herself doing squats with this apparatus between her thighs as she was simultaneously going through her phone. The product is the p.ball by p.volve, which is an inflated ball that attaches to an elastic band. The company say sit helps “deeply activate and tone” areas like the thighs, glutes, and abs.

Ashley Graham recently shared a photo of herself doing couples yoga with her husband, Justin Ervin, in their backyard. The 32-year-old, who became a mother in January, posted an impressive Instagram video of her HIIT workout and thanked trainer Kira Stokes for “continuing to kick my butt virtual.”

For years, Britney Spears has been sharing her workout regimes on her Instagram account—and the pandemic has not seemed to slow her down in the least. The star even revealed on Instagram in April that she accidentally burnt her gym down: “I had two candles and yeah … one thing led to another.” This, however, hasn’t impacted her progress, as Spears has been sharing videos of bodyweight type workouts like planks and lunges. She’s also been doing handstands and, in typical Spears fashion, lots and lots of dancing.

As you may have imagined, 2020 hasn’t kept Dwayne Johnson away from the gym. As soon as The Rock recovered from COVID-19, which he revealed he and his family contracted in early September, he was back doing what he loves to do most, lifting weights and bulking up his muscles.

Jessica Simpson reveals that her quarantine workout hasn’t been too intense. Since working hard to lose 100 pounds after the birth of daughter Birdie last March, the fashion mogul is taking it easy. Her current workouts consist of going for daily walks and tracking her steps. She also joins her kids on the trampoline and conquers the hills in her neighborhood while taking her children to visit the neighbor’s horses and pigs.

For Jennifer Aniston, it’s all about yoga. In July, the Friends alum shared a photo of a sweat silhouette that her body had left on her workout mat after a particularly productive yoga session.

Ashley Greene may be posting photos of herself with giant bags of Lay’s potato chips, but that doesn’t mean she’s been sitting around on the couch all year snacking on them. The Twilight actress and her husband, Paul Khoury, recently traveled to Utah and went on some hiking adventures in Zion, including the 16-mile-long hike “The Narrows.” She’s also been stretching, doing Alo yoga sessions with her pal Joseph Chase, sessions on her Hydrow rowing machine, and has also tried some STRONG by Zumba classes.

Ryan Seacrest recently impressed fans with his curly COVID hair and fitness skills as he balanced on a box on one foot and curled a pair of 25-pound-weights with his arm. He’s also been going on hikes, all masked up.

Fitness can be fun, and Mindy Kaling has definitely been proof of that. The Office star recently shared a funny video of herself attempting to do a pull-up on the playground with “Eye of the Tiger” blasting in the background. She’s posted other pictures of herself swinging on a backyard swing and climbing up her kid’s jungle gym, joking “I swear, my daughter thinks I’m hilarious.” She’s been also sneaking in some time in the pool.

In May, Ayesha Curry posted a photo of herself looking super fit in a bikini. She recently lost 35 pounds after partnering with the FitBit app, which she credits for keeping her on track. “I started my fitness journey because I wanted to be strong and healthy for myself and the people who depend on me,” she revealed, of her motivation to get in shape.

It’s not all about the sweat, heart-pounding workout: During the pandemic, Karlie Kloss has mastered the cool down. The model recently got Zen on the beach, clad in some athleisure wear and doing a little “inhale, exhale” session. She’s also been keeping the feel good vibes going by dancing around to songs like “Savage” by Megan Thee Stallion.

Alex Rodriguez, Jennifer Lopez, and their kiddos are staying in shape during the pandemic by filming hip-hop medley TikTok videos. They’re also climbing trees, swimming, doing some crossfit, weightlifting, and riding bikes. Rodriguez and Lopez are also having adorable dance-offs like this #WorldofDance Challenge.

In January, Pitch Perfect star, Rebel Wilson, deemed 2020 “the year of health.” She committed to working out, trying to avoid sugar and junk food, and making some positive changes. She’s definitely stuck to her goals by doing everything from running up the stairs of the Sydney Opera House to flipping tires, boxing, and doing battle ropes, all with the support of her trainer, Jono Castano Acero.

The Frozen actress posted a video of her doing everything from crunches to burpees, which she says she thought “would kill me.” Bell has been vocal about not working out to look good but to nurture her mind. In the same Instagram post, she shared: “I don’t work out to get a certain body shape. I work out for my mental health. And I notice a big difference when I do and when I don’t. When I don’t, I’m sad, irritable, anxious and lethargic. When I do, I’m content, motivated, peaceful and energetic.”

Mark Wahlberg is getting his butt kicked by his trainers. So much so that when he posted this PSA about social distancing and keeping your health up during the pandemic, he was completely out of breath. His workouts include everything from pushups with his feet suspended in TRX bands to doing crunches while tossing a ball to trainers, and weighted jump squats.

Kate Beckinsale is another star using music as a mood booster and body toner throughout quarantine life. The actress has been having all sorts of dance parties during the pandemic. She’s also been doing yoga, sometimes with her pets involved.

David Beckham recently posted this Instagram picture of himself stretching after sneaking in “an early workout before school run.” He’s also been playing soccer with his son Romeo and going for sunset walks with his wife Victoria.
