Celebrity Halloween Costumes: The Best Costumes of 2020 - Vogue

blogsjga.blogspot.com

With no trick-or-treating or big blowout bashes to go to this year—or rather, none that would be advisable to attend—Halloween certainly looked different this year. But even social distancing couldn’t stop celebrities from pulling out all the stops for their festive costumes. Instead of hitting the town, stars took to Instagram to flex their original costume ideas from home, and proved that yes, it is worth it to get all dressed up with nowhere to go. This year’s celebrity costumes ranged from the spooky and creepy, to the kitschy and entirely fabulous.

Let’s start with Heidi Klum, the official queen of Halloween. Although the German-American model didn’t bust out an over-the-top (and prosthetic-heavy) costume this season like she has in past years, she did create a special short horror film with her family, and sported two eerie costumes for it (including transforming into a bedsheet and a blend-into-the-wall camouflage look). “This year, I did not want to work with prosthetics,” she told Vogue of her looks. “I wanted to get back to the basics and get body painted. I worked with the amazing David Gilmore and his team. Each body painting took about 7 hours.”

There were some high-fashion Halloween moments this year, too. Kylie Jenner dressed up as a king cobra snake and did so by slithering into a bodycon Mugler look. (Her and her friends also dressed as the Power Rangers this weekend.) Cardi B dressed up as a glittering Medusa, complete with a custom, dripping-in-gold outfit by designer Laurel DeWitt. Victoria Beckham dressed up as a terrifying clown—but a chic clown who wears Beckham’s own label. A killer clown with good taste.

Elsewhere, other stars looked to classic films or characters for their Halloween costume inspiration as well. Chrissy Teigen, for instance, paid homage to Swan Lake’s Odette, while husband John Legend played the part of Spiderman. Kim Kardashian West, meanwhile, dressed as Tiger King’s Carole Baskin, while all of her children dressed as her baby tigers.

Below, more of the best celebrity Halloween costumes.
