The inaugural Gossip Girl Thanksgiving episode is a fan-favorite but it doesn’t get much love from IMDb. In fact, it’s the worst of the show’s Thanksgiving episodes according to ratings. 728 users reviewed the episode giving it an average score of 7.7 stars out of 10.
The episode features flashbacks to Thanksgiving one year earlier. Serena goes from bar to bar before Blair takes her home. Dan, Serena’s now-boyfriend, witnesses her antics — which she has no memory of — and saves her from getting hit by a taxi.
Meanwhile, in the present, Blair uninvites Serena to her annual Thanksgiving dinner. Nate’s Thanksgiving consists of a tense dinner with him and his mother while Dan’s parents have an awkward reunion.

The final Thanksgiving episode of the series comes next with an average score of 7.8 stars out of 10.
In Gossip Girl Season 6 Episode 8: “It’s Really Complicated,” Serena and Dan host their first Thanksgiving together. Inviting only their closest friends the small guest list doesn’t mean a get-together without drama.
