As the results of the 2020 presidential election continue to come in, celebrities are stressing out just as much as the rest of the country.
Democrat and Republican-leaning celebrities alike took to social media to share how they were coping as they impatiently awaited finding out if the next president of the United States will be Donald Trump or Joe Biden.
Several celebs turned to their vices while watching states turn red or blue.
Cardi B posted a video smoking three cigarettes at once, while Monica Lewinsky tweeted that she also needed some cigs.
“y’all… i’m gonna smoke some cigarettes tonight. i do it once every few years. dont @ me. i’m just using twitter as a jewish confessional,” Lewinsky tweeted.
On Wednesday, Heidi Klum out-smoked Cardi by posting a video of herself puffing on eight cigarettes at once. “Waiting on results like…!” she wrote on Instagram. She followed up with the warning, “#dontsmoke #smokingkills.”
Others went for the classic stress-eating route.
“Haven’t eaten dinner but have had 2 margaritas and am currently shoveling cinnamon gummy bears in my mouth every thing is great,” Busy Philipps tweeted.
And Chrissy Teigen decided to feed her anxiety by cooking at 11 pm.
“Just stress-cooking, Everything’s fine. Don’t worry about us, everything’s fine,” Teigen, sounding very not fine, said in a video.
Lili Reinhart was so anxious, she couldn’t even cook for herself. She tweeted, “Just ordered an incredible amount of food because I’m an emotional eater and I’m scared.”
Breathwork and physical activity helped both Elizabeth Banks and James Corden as time went on without hearing any answers.
“I’m just pacing back and forth. At least I’m burning off the gallon of ice cream I just ate,” Banks said.
“Breathe. Breathe. In through the nose. Out through the mouth. Keep. It. Together. X,” Corden tweeted.
Other late-night hosts attempted some comedic relief.
“This is like being awake during your own surgery,” Jimmy Kimmel tweeted.
“The human body was not made to expend this much energy thinking about Pennsylvania,” Stephen Colbert wrote on social media of the state’s importance in the race.
And while some threw in the towel, others simply vented about how difficult it was to watch the votes slowly being counted.
“ok that’s it that’s final: im watching #SchittsCreek” Questlove tweeted.
“What time is it? It feels like a million o’clock,” Kumail Nanjiani wrote.
“This show sucks,” Andy Cohen stated.
