Thanksgiving 2020 may feel a bit different as COVID-19 has forced many to spend the holidays away from loved ones to reduce the spread of the virus, a lot of celebrities—including Chrissy Teigen and Kerry Washington—are still finding ways to celebrate Turkey Day with plenty of love, gratitude…and of course, food. Meanwhile, others—like Gigi Hadid—are using the holidays to give back.
Like the rest of us, it seems celebs are making the best of this unprecedented situation this year. Here's how all the biggest stars are spending Thanksgiving 2020.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
Teigen told People that she and John Legend are "downsizing a little bit" this holiday season and plan to make this years' Thanksgiving celebrations about “enjoying time with family.”
"I just don't have it in me! I've been doing this for 10 years with John and his family now, and I think I've gotten a little tired of just seeing so much food go to waste. I go way too hard with way too many sides," the Cravings cookbook author explained. “We're just going to do the staples, and it's going to be beautiful and we're going to watch football.”
"We're making it much more about enjoying the time with [family]," Teigen continued. "I don't want to wake up at 4 in the morning the entire week anymore to get [the meal] done. I want to enjoy the meal with my family while they're enjoying it."
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, along with their 19-month-old son Archie, will reportedly be celebrating their first U.S. Thanksgiving at their new home in Montecito, California. According to People, the royal couple will be joined by the duchess' mother Gloria Ragland.
"They are going to have a quiet dinner at home and are looking forward to celebrating their first American Thanksgiving in the States as a family,” an insider told Harper's Bazaar. "They plan to enjoy a home-cooked meal with traditional Thanksgiving dishes, including recipes made with fresh vegetables from their garden."
