Gossip: Chelsea want Hazard back; early Haaland move - Football365.com

EDEN TO RETURN TO HIS GARDEN
Eden Hazard is in a “vicious circle” of injuries, according to the Belgium national team doctor.

The Real Madrid star was diagnosed with a muscle tear earlier this week and is set to miss another month having started just six La Liga games this season.

It will be the ninth time he has been forced out since he joined Madrid in the summer of 2019 – a situation described as “chronic” and one leading many to suggest his best years are behind him.

But Chelsea are offering their former player solace, according to DefensaCentral.

The Blues are reportedly willing to offer around half of the £88million Madrid paid to take Hazard from Stamford Bridge 18 months ago – an indication of just how far the 30-year-old’s stock has fallen amid this raft of injury problems.

CITY BLOW HAALAND SUITORS
Manchester City are ‘prepared to blow Erling Haaland’s suitors out of the water’ – they’re desperate for a long-term replacement for Sergio Aguero.

Haaland’s well documented release clause of £68million comes into effect in 2022, when every suitor – and there are a lot of them – will be ready to do battle for the 20-year-old.

But Pep Guardiola and City want to avoid that stress and uncertainty by spending more to secure his signature this summer.

The Daily Mirror claims City will offer £100million and wages of £400,000-a-week to lure the striker to the Etihad.

But they’re not the only side to think of such a dastardly plan and they won’t be the last.

HAMMER YOUSSEF
West Ham were keen on signing a striker in January. When are they not?

The Hammers are flying in the Premier League, but to rely on Michail Antonio’s crisp packet hamstrings seems like a misstep and not signing a striker seemed like a missed opportunity.

Jesse Lingard’s brilliant return to a football pitch against Villa will have dampened their goalscoring fears somewhat, but their perpetual striker chase continues.

Having reportedly failed in a £27million January bid for Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri, the Daily Star claim they’re readying a £35million summer offer for the 23-year-old,  who has scored 16 goals in 30 games this season.
