This Fake Opening For "Gossip Girl" Has Gone Viral On Twitter, And It Should Have Stayed In The Drafts - BuzzFeed

Thanks, I hate it.

Imma just cut to the Chace Crawford and say that Gossip Girl has one of the most ICONIC opening title sequences of all time:

The CW

"Who am I? That's one secret I'll never tell..."

She's short, pithy, and to the point. We have no choice but to stan:

HOWEVER! IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION! THAT THERE IS AN EDIT OUT THERE! OF ANOTHER OPENING SEQUENCE!

The CW

Jury's still out on whether or not it was actually real, but the jury's in on how bad it is.

Let's just say...be happy that we have the one we know and love:

Like...this looks like The Real Housewives and Heirs of The Upper East Side:

It's the over-the-shoulder look for me:

Thanks, I hate it.

NOT TO MENTION, it was set to the tune of Fergie's "Glamorous." A song I love, but if I was forced to listen to it every Wednesday at 9/8c., I would now hate it.

A&M / Interscope

Not a single soul prefers this edit to the original:

Most importantly:

@blairhumphry The most egregious part of this whole things is that Serena is first not Blair! Hunni this is and always will be Blair waldorfs story ur just the best friend!

So that's that. Count your Xs and Os that we got the title sequence we DID get and not the one that should have stayed in the drafts.
