Not so fast. Fast X, which was supposed to be the first part of a two-part finale for the Fast & Furious franchise, held its premiere in Rome on Friday. But on the red carpet, Vin Diesel appeared to casually reveal it's actually not the penultimate film after all and that there will, in fact, be two more movies. "Going into making this movie, the studio had asked if this could be a two-parter," Diesel said. "And after the studio saw this, part one, they said, 'Could you make Fast X, the finale, a trilogy?'" The interviewer quickly freaked out, asking, "Are you guys confirming right now that we're getting a third movie?" But Diesel just walked away, realizing he's about to "get in trouble." A 12th Fast film — which would hopefully be titled Fast XXX — hasn't been officially confirmed by Universal. But for Diesel, it sounds like hitting the brakes may be easier said than done.
