Just when she thought he was out, Christopher Nolan pulled him back in. Matt Damon shared an anecdote with Entertainment Weekly that he acknowledged "is going to sound made up, but it's actually true." The actor, who appears in Nolan's latest film "Oppenheimer," revealed he "negotiated extensively with my wife that I was taking time off" from acting. But according to Damon, he specifically "negotiated in couples therapy" that the "one caveat" to this would be "if Chris Nolan called." Damon previously worked with the director on "Interstellar," but he noted Nolan had "put me on ice for a couple of movies, so I wasn't in the rotation." Sure enough, though, Nolan did call. "This is without knowing whether or not he was working on anything, because he never tells you," Damon said. "He just calls you out of the blue. And so, it was a moment in my household." Damon didn't clarify whether there's a Nolan clause in his prenup, too.
