Gossip are back and have announced their first album in 12 years, Real Power, which will be out March 22 via Ultra Records. The album was produced by Rick Rubin — who worked with the band on 2009’s Music For Men — and made at his studio in Kauai before and after covid lockdown. “When we began, so much about Gossip was about running away—that was always in the music,” says singer Beth Ditto. “We survived. We came from nothing, and we got the fuck out of there. And to be here 20 years later and still making music together is just incredible.”
The first single is “Crazy Again” which Ditto says “is about actually being in love and feeling so safe.” The video, directed by Cody Critcheloe, is definitely crazy and decidedly NSFW for those of you who still go into an office. Watch that below.
