Celebrities with Politicians in the Family - Teen Vogue

blogsjga.blogspot.com

We're in the middle of one of the most contentious election cycles in modern American history. It seems like everyone has picked a side and is sticking to it. In addition to organizers and everyday constituents, celebrities have also been vocal about which side of the aisle they align with. They posted to social media, performed at rallies, and encouraged Americans to vote in creative ways.

But for some celebrities, their connection with politics is extremely close having civic leaders as family members. Yes, some celebrities famously go into politics like Ronald Reagan, but others have family members who have no affiliation with Hollywood.

Below, check out the celebrities who have family members in politics.

Patrick Schwarzenegger

It's all in that famous last name. Actor Patrick Schwarzenegger is the son of former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and journalist Maria Shriver, whose family is a part of the Kennedy dynasty. Patrick has been very vocal about the importance of voting and counting everyone's vote this election season.

Robin Thede

The comedian, writer, and A Black Lady Sketch Show star has a close connection to politics. Robin's mother is Rep. Phillis Thede, who was just re-elected to represent the 93rd District of Iowa's House of Representatives. Proud of her mother, Robin posted on Instagram about her seven-term career in the midwest state.
